Dossia Executive Director, David Goldsmith, to Speak at Healthy Communities Data Summit
Dossia's executive director, David Goldsmith, will be a featured speaker at the upcoming Healthy Communities Data Summit 2014. This year's conference, the second presented by Health 2.0 and the Foundation for Healthcare Innovation, will be held June 11, on the campus of UCLA in Los Angeles.
The Healthy Communities Data Summit is designed to raise awareness of innovations that are changing health at a local level and accelerating conversations on how government agencies, clinicians, and innovators can work together to improve communities. Conference sponsors include California Healthcare Foundation, The California Wellness Foundation, The California Endowment and Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health.
In a session entitled Data Analytics to Health Communities: Closing the Loop, Goldsmith will highlight how Dossia's population health platform is aiding the New York City Department of Health in its efforts to track blood pressure among a high-risk, low-income population. Moderated by Steve Spiker, Director of Research & Technology for Oakland-based Urban Strategies Council, the session will examine how new data analytics tools are helping health leaders reach historically overlooked populations in new and innovative ways.
