Donna Scott is a healthcare marketing professional with over 25 years of marketing, sales, and product management experience in the technology and healthcare industries. As Executive Director of Marketing Strategy for McKesson RelayHealth, she is responsible for driving the overall consumer strategy for RelayHealth and working with hospitals and large multi-specialty medical groups to raise awareness of their health information exchange and connectivity services by their physicians and patients.
Ms. Scott has been on the Board of Directors of Dossia since 2007, and is currently on the Dossia Foundation Board. (Dossia is a non-profit group made up of large employers such as Walmart, Pitney Bowes, AT&T, and Vanguard Health creating an open platform for Personal Health Records.) She also led a multi-million dollar healthcare marketing practice at AT&T from 2006 – 2009 to exceed revenue growth targets for healthcare business customers nationwide, including management of all advertising, public relations, and events activity, as well as an exclusive co-marketing agreement with the American Hospital Association. Throughout her 30+ year tenure at AT&T, Ms. Scott led multiple product organizations responsible for $1 Billion in revenue, and consistently exceeded volume, revenue and profitability commitments. She also provided strategic thought- leadership on several key corporate projects, including an online marketing overhaul and comprehensive consumer marketing strategy.
Ms. Scott recently received a certificate in Healthcare Leadership from the Harvard School of Public Health and has an MBA in Marketing from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University as well as a B.A. in Music from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She is currently Chair of the Patient Engagement Action Group for the Institute for Health Technology Transformation (iHT2) and Co- Chair of the State of Georgia Healthcare Information Technology and Transparency (HITT) Finance and Governance Sub-Committee. She is a longstanding member of the American Marketing Association, Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), the eMarketing Association, and the Technology Association of Georgia. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her daughter, Hannah, and she is also active in the Autism Society of America where she acts as a parent advocate for parents of newly-diagnosed children with autism.
