Executive Director, Business Communications Services, AT&T

Donna Scott is a marketing management professional with over thirty years of marketing, sales, and product management experience in the fast-paced technology industry.   As Executive Director in the Business Communications Services organization at AT&T, she is currently leading all marketing programs for the Government, Education, and Healthcare segments across the country.  In this role, she has also been influential in driving a broad focus on healthcare marketing throughout AT&T.  Ms. Scott's thirty years of experience with AT&T and BellSouth include eight years leading BellSouth Product Management for broadband and e-commerce services as well as defining Marketing strategy across all segments.  Prior to BellSouth, Ms. Scott spent 22 years with AT&T in sales, product, and marketing positions.  Here are a few of her career accomplishments:

  • Led multiple product organizations responsible for $1 to 3 Billion revenue, and exceeded volume, revenue and profitability commitments every year.

  • Led product management and marketing in three different internet startups, including developing compelling business cases and gaining funding approvals.

  • Provided thought-leadership on key strategic projects, including a comprehensive Consumer marketing strategy and an online marketing overhaul for BellSouth. 

  • Led marketing teams at AT&T/BellSouth on three different M&A due diligence processes, gaining approval for recommendations in every case.

  • Produced award-winning sales results across a variety of markets and services.

  • Developed and executed successfully on a process re-engineering approach at AT&T to achieve major cost reduction, which resulted in $100M savings and 50% cycle time improvement for provisioning of all services.

Ms. Scott has an MBA in Marketing and International Business from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.A. in Music from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.  She is a longstanding member of the American Marketing Association, the eMarketing Association and the Technology Association of Georgia.  She lives in Decatur, Georgia with her daughter, Hannah, who is eleven years old, and enjoys traveling, music, and movies.  She is also active in the Autism Society of America and acts as a parent advocate for parents of newly diagnosed children with autism.
